Lillian Grace Sivak

August 22, 1921 — November 20, 2010

Lillian Grace Sivak, 89 of Smithtown Community, passed away Saturday November 20, 2010 at the Arbors at Fairmont, WV. She was born August 22, 1921 in Jerome, PA daughter of the late Sarah and Burt Brown. She resided at her home in the Smithtown Community until entering The Arbors at Fairmont, December 14, 2007. She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Andrew Sivak; a brother Wilford Brown; sister Norene Ulrich; great great granddaughter Anna Marie Grubb and many close friends and relatives. Grace was a hard working homemaker, loving mother and her love for children will be everlasting. She also worked at the well-known Speedway Drive Inn in Fairmont during its time of business. Grace was a member of the Pisgah United Methodist Church and very fond of the Smithtown Community, her neighbors and the "beautiful hills of West Virginia." Mrs. Sivak is survived by three daughters and four sons all residing in West Virginia; Mary Ann Davis and husband Chick of Monongah; Iola Grace Swisher and husband Sonny of Fairmont; Elizabeth Jane Reese and husband Bill of Millersville; Andrew R. Sivak and wife Connie of Fairmont; William Charles Sivak and wife Carolyn of Barrickville; Gary Lee Sivak of Smithtown and Nick Allen Sivak and wife Terri of Smithtown. Grace was the oldest of eleven children and is survived by six sisters Nellie Bissett of Hickory, PA; Elizabeth Bruce of McDonald, PA; Sara Hughes of East Liverpool, OH; Lois Diamond of McDonald, PA; Patricia Moreau of McDonald, PA; and three brothers George Brown of Midway, PA; Ronald Brown of Augsbury, Germany; and Benjamin Brown of Berlin Heights, OH. Also surviving are 18 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren. At her request following cremation, a service will be held at the Pisgah United Methodist Church on Saturday November 27, 2010 at 11:30am. Interment will follow in the Pisgah Cemetery on the Smithtown Road. Because of Mrs. Sivak's love of children, contributions may be made to the Ronald McDonald House, 841 Country Club Drive, Morgantown, WV 26505 in her memory. The family would like to give special tribute to the caregivers of the world. Special thanks to Dr. Horner and his former staff, Dr. Menez and EVERYONE at The Arbors of Fairmont for their tender loving care for our mother these last three years. The care and compassion given to the family on the day of her death was remarkable.
