Lester William Mcdonald

Lester William Greaser' McDonald, 75, of Summer School Road, Morgantown passed away Friday January 28, 2011 at the Monongalia General Hospital. He was born on February 5, 1935 son of the late Elmer and Lucy Murray McDonald. He served in the Army 86 th Infantry from 1955 to 1957 stationed at Fort Dix, New Jersey and in Germany. He worked for Beckman Brothers, Southern States and the WV Department of Highways. He enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing and sports. He loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by two sons, Charles Ronnie' Bailey and wife Becky, and Mark McDonald and wife Patricia, all of Morgantown; four daughters, Susie McDonald and Chris Shrout of Kingwood, Kathy Bailey (Creed), Sandra Wyatt and husband Ron and Pam Burgess and husband Mark all of Morgantown; 14 grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; one brother Ralph McDonald and wife Velma of Morgantown; four sisters Carolyn Dalton, who was his guardian angel, Joyce Austin and husband Jim, Juanita Hart and husband Hubert, and Sylvia Young all of Morgantown and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Cecil and Francis McDonald; two sisters Clara Murray and an infant sister and his former wife and best friend Lillie Hiner. Friends may call at the Nicholson Chapel Church, Summers School Rd. on Monday January 31 from 2pm until time of services at 1pm on Tuesday with Pastor Norma Stimmell officiating. Burial will follow at the Summers Cemetery, Summers School Road with military graveside rites conducted by the Westover VFW Post 9916 and the WVANG Honor Guard, Camp Dawson.
