Leonard Konchesky

Leonard Andrew "Leo" Konchesky, 72, of Morgantown, passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday August 28, 2019. Leo was born in Morgantown on February 28, 1947 a son of the late Joseph and Ann Konchesky. He graduated from St. Francis High School in 1965. He was the owner of Leo's Bar where he always enjoyed talking and laughing with his customers. In addition to his parents, Leo was preceded in death by his son Leonard "Leo" Konchesky; sisters Lucille Fox, Veronica Campbell; and brothers Donald Konchesky and Robert "Bob" Konchesky. Leo is survived by his daughter Tatiana Denning (Michael); grandson Jacob of Richmond, VA; daughter Jill Keck (Wes Wahlin), and grandchildren Elise, Camille, and Davin of Sammamish, WA. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews. The family of Leo would like to thank Amedisys Hospice for their care of Leo in his final days. The family would also like to thank and acknowledge Leo's personal caregiver Tina Shumaker, for her wonderful care and support of Leo during the last year. Honoring Leo's wishes cremation was arranged by Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home and interment followed at East Oak Grove Cemetery. A memorial mass will be held at St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church on Saturday Sept. 14, 2019 at 10 am with Rev. Msgr. Anthony Cincinnati officiating. Memorial Service 09/14/2019 10:00 AM
