Leanna Mae Garrison

Leanna Mae Haines Garrison, 86, of Morgantown, WV, passed away Wednesday, August 19, 2015, at Monongalia General Hospital. The daughter of the late William Thomas and Lessie Marie Brand Haines, she was born November 26, 1928, in Mt. Morris, PA. Leanna was a member of Fox Chapel where she taught Sunday school for 30 plus years and was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church. Leanna enjoyed quilting and had entered her quilts into many arts and craft shows where she had won best of show and first place ribbons, she was also a member of a quilting association. She is survived by three sons: Ronald Ray Garrison of Morgantown, WV Daniel Lee Garrison of Fairmont, WV, and Timothy Allen Garrison of Frederick, MD; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; three brothers: Russell Haines, Willies Haines, and Paul Haines; a sister Laura E. Lemley. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Roy I. Garrison; two sons, John Thomas Garrison and Donald Roy Garrison; and a brother, Gilbert Haines. In honoring Leanna's wishes a graveside service will be held at Beverly Hills Memorial Garden, Saturday, August 22, 2015, at 11 a.m. with Pastor Jeff Huggins officiating. Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made in Leanna's honor to Morgantown Hospice, 1063 Maple Drive Morgantown, WV 26505.
