Larry D Sodomick

Larry D. Sodomick, 67 of Morgantown, W.V. passed peacefully at his home after a long illness on Thursday January 20, 2011. Larry was born Oct. 9, 1943 in Stuttgart, Arkansas. He was the son of Betty Minear Sodomick and the late Walter Sodomick. He was a Protestant by faith. He served four years active duty in the U.S. Navy and two years in the reserve. He worked at Sterling Faucet Company and Fort Martin Power Plant. He graduated with honors in Electrical Engineering from Fairmont State College. In addition, to his mother he is survived by his loving wife Dorothy of 19 years and his son Michael S. Sodomick; daughters Laura L. Sodomick, Karen L. Sodomick and Nicole R. Wood; stepsons Michael Cozort and wife Teresa, Gary Cozort, and Kevin Cozort and wife Charolett; his brother David Sodomick and sisters Debby Sodomick, Becky Prince and husband Steve; grandchildren Ashley Gooch, Adam White, Alexandra Wood, and Garrett Wood; ten step grandchildren and three great grandchildren, three nephews and nieces. He was truly loved and will be missed greatly by his family and friends. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Sunday January 23, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8pm and again on Monday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Dr. Al Cooper officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens with Military graveside rites conducted by Westover VFW Post 9916 and the Navy Region Mid Atlantic Honor Guard.
