Larry Edward Sickles

Larry Edward Sickles, 62, of Westover passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at the Mon Health Medical Center. Larry was born June 12, 1955 in Morgantown son to Doris Malott Sickles of Morgantown and the late Warren H. ‘Buzz’ Sickles.

Larry was a ’73 graduate of Morgantown High School. He was an accomplished welder, mechanic, volunteer firefighter with Cool Springs VFD and retired from General Glass.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his wife of 28 years, Gloria Tichenor Sickles; sons, Jeremy Sickles and wife Crystal; Frank Moore and Charles Sickles; daughters Kayla Moran and husband Nathan, Angela Dalton, Korina Webb and husband Conley and Rebecca Blosser and husband Brandon; seven grandchildren including his granddaughter Shelby Ann Moran, who brought joy to his life each day; two brothers Bob Sickles and wife Vivian; Jim Sickles and wife Judy and two sisters, Linda Mueller and companion Craig and Lisa Clemmer and companion Rob. Also surviving is his special aunt Gloria Colebank.

Cremation was arranged by the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home.

Friends will gather in celebration of Larry’s life at the Nicholson Chapel Church on Saturday Sept. 16, 2017 from 11:30am until the time of his memorial service at 1pm with Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Disposition of Larry’s ashes will be held at the convenience of the family.

The family would like to offer their gratitude to Dr. Steven Maxwell and the nurses and staff of Mon Health Medical Center ICU for the exceptional care given to Larry over the last couple of months.
