Larry David Taylor

Larry David Taylor, 76, of Waynesburg Health and Rehabilitation Center passed away October 26, 2016 after a long illness. He was born July 3, 1940 to the late Oscar Ray Taylor and Vonda Shay Taylor.

He worked more than thirty years in the newspaper industry where he retired from the Dominion Post as an industrial electronics technician.

He is survived by his sons, Larry “Doug” Taylor (Caroline) and Mark and Peggy Taylor, of Morgantown; grandchildren, Rodney Taylor (Niki), Glenn Jay Taylor (Nick), Terry Taylor (Johnna), Carrie Grimes (Parker), all of Morgantown, Melinda Wolford (Jeremiah) from South Carolina, great-grandchildren, Chloe, Zoe, Elias Wolford, Kohlee, Shaelynn, Logan Taylor and Gabriella Grimes; sisters, Sue Casseday, Janet Shaffer (Don); brother, Arthur Taylor (Connie); sisters-in-laws Wilma Richards and Mary Lee Cutright.

In addition to his parents, Larry was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Alice Taylor, brother Richard Taylor and several brothers-in-laws and sister-in-laws.

Family and friends will be received at Shay’s Chapel Church, Yorks Run Road, Newburg, WV, on Saturday, October 29th from 11am until the time of service at 1pm with Rev. Rotha Hall officiating. Burial will follow at the Shay Cemetery.
