Kyle Taulbee Boswell

Kyle Taulbee Boswell, of New Martinsville, WV died Friday January 7, 2011 at home after a long battle with lung disease. He was born in Greenbrier County near Neola, WV at the family farm on February 20, 1925 to Joseph and Ula Boswell. He was one of ten children. Kyle attended White Sulphur Springs High School and graduated in 1942. He was a veteran in the US Navy during WWII serving from February 1942 to January 1944 stationed out of Norfolk, VA. He returned home to farm for several years, then later helped build the telescopes at the Green Bank Observatory and spent the majority of his life as a welder and boilermaker as a member of the Local 667 in building electrical power plants mostly in WV. He was a member of the First Presbyterian Church. He loved reading, farming and hunting always preferring the outdoors. He was preceded in death by his mother and father Ula and Joseph Boswell, four step brothers, four brothers, William, David Tipton, Snowden and Milton, and three sisters Ernestine, Irene and Alda. He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Dottie Boswell, his daughter Cindy Boswell Chambers and her husband Dennis and their two children Edward and Virginia of Morgantown, WV, his daughter Susan Boswell Bunner and her husband Jim and their daughter Charlotte of Parkersburg, WV, his son Michael Kyle Boswell and his wife Rose of Chesterfield, VA, and his daughter Beth Boswell Fuller and her husband Roger and their two children Alayna and Emma of Morgantown, WV. Also surviving is a brother Robert Boswell of Damascus, MD and a sister Myna Boswell Wolfe of Dunbar, WV and numerous nieces and nephews. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Sunday January 9, 2011 from 5-8:30pm and again on Monday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Pastor Michael Atkinson of Wesley United Methodist Church officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
