Kristin Clair Merryman

Kristin Clair Merryman, 28, of Morgantown passed away peacefully Tuesday, April 16, 2013 at Duke University Hospital in Durham, NC, surrounded by her family. She was born March 22, 1985 in Morgantown, WV, daughter to Jim and Donna Merryman of Morgantown. Kristin was a 2003 graduate of University High School and a 2007 graduate of the WVU College of Business and Economics with a Bachelor's degree in Business Administration and was accepted to the MBA program. She also studied a semester abroad in Italy. After graduation she was employed as an Assistant Golf Pro in Boca Raton, FL and most recently employed at SMC as a library research technician. While in high school, Kristin played four years of varsity basketball. She also, enjoyed boating on Cheat Lake, cooking for friends and family, watching movies, rooting on the Mountaineers and spending time with her Boxer Taylor'. Kristin had many passions and a zest for life in general. One hobby that was very important to her was golf. She always looked forward to organizing and participating in the Lymphoma Society golf tournament held every year at the Mountaineer Golf Course. Kristin grew up under the watchful eye of both her grandfather Nanny' and father Jim, in the car business. Because of this exposure she developed a love of automobiles. Although, Kristin kept very busy with her hobbies and interests, nothing was more precious to her than her family and friends. She was a devoted and loving daughter, sister, niece, cousin and friend to many. Those lucky enough to have been a part of Kristin's family and circle of friends will miss her compassionate and generous spirit. In addition to her parents Jim and Donna, Kristin is survived by her sister Lindsey Merryman of Morgantown; paternal grandmother, Betty Merryman Criss; Aunt Stephanie and Uncle Roger Woods; cousin Tyler Woods; Aunt Alice and Uncle Dave Merryman; and Aunt Susan Merryman. Also surviving are many other aunts, uncles and cousins. Kristin was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents Frank Nanny' and Clara Bonasso and paternal grandfather Jack Merryman. Friends may call at the St. Francis de Sales Roman Catholic Church on Friday, April 26, 2013 from 2pm until time of Memorial Mass at 3pm.
