Kevin Michael Simpkins

Kevin Michael Simpkins, 46 of Morgantown passed away unexpectedly from a heart attack on Wednesday December 15, 2010 at his home. He was born March 8, 1964 in Vineland, New Jersey, son of Juanita Payne Dumas of Florida and the late Robert Roberts. Kevin graduated from East Fairmont High School and then attended Fairmont State where he received a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting. Kevin was employed at the WVU Cancer Center for nearly 23 years, where he was admired and loved by all his colleagues. Kevin had many hobbies including, camping with friends and family, shooting a competitive game of pool, and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. In addition to his mother, Kevin is survived by his partner of two years Chad Wilson, two daughters, Vanessa Simpkins and fiancé Joe Eakin, Whitney Hicks and husband Jonathan all of Morgantown; three grandchildren, Hayden Simpkins, Anthony Lindsay and Preston Hicks. Also surviving are four brothers Robert Simpkins, Tim Simpkins, Chuck Simpkins and Terry Roberts all of New Jersey. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Friday December 17, 2010 from 6-8pm and again on Saturday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Pastor Mike Williams officiating. Burial will follow at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to Kevin's daughter Vanessa who recently lost her home due to a fire.
