Kathy Marie Getz

Kathy Marie Getz, age 63 of Morgantown, WV passed away Tuesday, October 5, 2021 at Mon Health Medical Center. Born October 12, 1957 in Fairmont, WV, she was the daughter of Carl Pyles and Susan Piscitelli Pyles. Kathy is survived by her father, Carl; her husband of 42 years, John Michael “Mike” Getz; her son, Trever Getz; two brothers, Joe Pyles of Crawfordville, FL, and Mark Pyles of Mingo Junction, OH; a sister, Jackie Mounts and husband John Mounts of Crawfordville, FL; a brother-in-law, Dave Getz; a sister-in-law, Twila Getz; several nieces and nephews; her best friend, Wanda Poling; and her precious pup, Lila. She is preceded in death by her mother, Susan; a brother, Jimmy Pyles; her father-in-law, John Getz; and her mother-in-law, Erma Getz. Kathy was a loving wife, mother, and friend. In her free time, she enjoyed watching television, and learned to crochet and sew. Honoring her wishes, cremation has been entrusted to the Fred Jenkins Funeral Home with a Celebration of Life Memorial Service to take place at a later date.
