Junior Willis Remley

Junior Willis Remley, a beloved husband, father, brother, and friend, passed away on Friday, June 12, 2026, at the age of 85, in his hometown of Morgantown. Born on February 26, 1941, in Morgantown, he spent his life dedicated to his family and community.

Junior was known for his unwavering kindness and exceptional sense of humor, which brought joy to those around him. Junior was a graduate of University High School and worked for the local Pontiac Dealer as the parts manager. Later, he would proudly retire from the maintenance department of West Virginia University, where he built lasting relationships and became a cherished figure in the local community.

A devoted family man, Junior is survived by his loving daughter, Brenda (Richard) Palmer, of Canton, GA, and his grandson, Adam Palmer, of New Hampshire. He cherished every moment spent with his family, fostering a nurturing environment filled with laughter and love.

In his leisure time, Junior had a passion for life evident in his love for golf and his unwavering support for West Virginia University football. He was an avid Mountaineers fan, proudly donning the old gold and blue.

Music was also a significant part of his life; he enjoyed playing guitar, dancing, and singing, often sharing his talents with the congregation at Goshen Baptist Church, where he was an active member and choir participant.

Junior's spirit will forever live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him. He will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

Junior was preceded in death by his parents, Ernest and Grace Remley, his beloved wife, Doris Remley, and his dear sister, Louise Johnson.

A Memorial Reception will be held on Wednesday, June 17th, 6-8 pm at Legends Sports Bar & Grill, Lakeview golf course, 1 Lakeview Dr, Morgantown, WV 26508.  

In lieu of flowers or other tributes, donations may be made in memory of Junior to Morgantown Hospice Care at 3596 Collins Ferry Rd, Ste 250, Morgantown, WV 26505.
