Junior Lee "Junie" Murray, 75, of Beulah Rd, Morgantown, went to be with his sons in Heaven on November 4, 2013. He was born in Morgantown on August 16 1938, son of Elmer and the late Ettie Murray. He enjoyed watching football, especially the Steelers, spending time with his grandchildren, working in his garden and cooking Sunday dinners for his family. He worked as a coal miner for many years at Blacksville No. 2 mine, from which he retired in 1995. He is preceded in death by his mother, Ettie Murray, his son Matthew Murray in 1982, his son Anthony Murray in 2009, brothers Ed Murray and Billy Murray and wife Clara, a sister Lavella "Dump" Murray, several infant sisters and a nephew, Little Gary. He is survived by his father, Elmer "Jack" Murray, two daughters and spouses, Susan and Wesley Summers and Debra and Keith Sanders Jr and a daughter-in-law, Beth. He is also survived by his grandsons Casey Summers and girlfriend Kayla Corley, Ryan Murray, Jordan Sanders, Matthew Murray, a granddaughter Morgan Summers and boyfriend Travis Marchant, a brother Gary Murray and wife Alberta, nieces Monica, Cindy, Lisa, Tina and Cheryl and a special family friend, Samantha Austin. Friends will be received at Nicholson Chapel, Summers School Rd., Morgantown, on Thursday November 7, 2013 from 11am until the time of funeral services on Friday at 1pm with Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. He will be laid to rest between his two sons at Summers Cemetery. Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
