Junior Casteel

Junior S. "JR" Casteel, 79 of Rock Forge Lane, Morgantown passed away Friday, December 10, 2010 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital in Maryland. He was born November 28, 1931 in Morgantown, the son of the late Joseph S. and Viola Deavers Casteel. Before retiring, he was employed as a coal miner at the Blacksville and Arkwright mines . He also worked at Sam's Auto Body and was a Methodist by faith. He is survived by a sister Geraldien Neville of Rock Forge, 5 children Jody Biedron and husband Mark of Ohio, Joe Casteel and companion Elizabeth Bolyard of Pa., Michele and Bill Maloney of Morgantown, Noreen and Brad Fleming of Morgantown and Kathy and Timothy Mitchelle of Texas. Also surviving are 10 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, JR was preceded in death by his ex-wife Carolyn Rogers. The family would like to thank Dr. Porter and the staff at Garrett County Memorial Hospital for making his last days comfortable. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 15, 2010 from 10:30am until the time of services at 1:30pm with Rev. Dan Meadows officiating. Burial will follow in the Pleasant Hills Cemetery.
