June Elizabeth Coburn Zanotti, 94, of Callen Ave. passed away on Friday July 13, 2012 in Morgantown, WV. She was born June 2, 1918 in Morgantown, the daughter of the late William and Pearl Shahan Coburn. She was a 1936 graduate of Morgantown High School and she worked for Westinghouse/Philips Electric in Fairmont for 30 years until her retirement in 1982. June and her husband Dominick were married September 4, 1937 and shared 61 years together until his death on August 25, 1999. They were members of St. Theresa's Catholic Church and she was later a member of St. Francis de Sales Catholic Church. She is survived by one daughter Mary K. Zanotti Riordan and spouse Donald of Long Island, NY and Vero Beach, FL; two sons Victor W. Zanotti and spouse Cecelia and William C. Bill' Zanotti all of Morgantown; one sister Virginia Jones of Orlando, FL; a special daughter-in-law Barbara Zanotti of Burke, VA; a brother-in-law Ed Goodwin of Morgantown and a special friend Gene Wade of Core, WV. June is also survived by nine grandchildren Colleen Riordan, Patrick Riordan and wife Holly of Long Island, NY; Amy Riordan Minch and husband Jason of Bedford, NY, Kimberly Zanotti Matuga of Morgantown, Kelli Zanotti Page and husband John of Philadelphia, PA, Victor J. Zanotti of Rockwall, TX, Dominick V. Zanotti II of Morgantown, Jennifer Zanotti and partner Scott Elder of Pelhem, AL and Jeff Zanotti and wife Marin of Sterrett, AL. She had 11 great-grandchildren Dylan and Jordan Matuga of Morgantown, Sydney Rose Zanotti of Rockwall, TX, Kyle Benjamin, Timothy and Gracie Riordan of Long Island, NY, Ava and Charles Minch of Bedford, NY, Addison Elder of Pelhem, AL and Dylan Emory Zanotti of Sterrett, AL. In addition to her parents and spouse, she was preceded in death by a great-grandson Adam James Matuga; three sisters and two brothers-in-law Lena and Elza Snider, Elsie and Richard Hill, and Helen Goodwin; three brothers and sisters-in-law William Carl and Mary Frances Coburn, Arthur F. and Ruth Coburn, Clifford Pete' and Geraldine Coburn; a brother-in-law J.T. Jones and nephews John Coburn, William C. Coburn and Edward Snider. A special thanks to her caring neighbors Mary and Bill Sommers, Carolyn and Larry Buchman and Tom and Janet Sal, and the caregivers of Sundale Nursing Home and Morgantown Hospice. Thanks also to Frances Hoskins, Karen Smith, and Mavis and Mandy Eddy who helped with her care while she was at home, and to Sharon Whipkey, her beautician and friend for many years. Most of all our thanks to Dr. Charlene Horan who has loved and cared for June for many, many years. June has many nieces, nephews, and friends both old and young, who will miss her humor and kindness. She loved her family and many friends especially the babies and children. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Monday July 16, 2012 from 6-8pm and again on Tuesday from 1:30pm until the time of funeral services at 2pm in the Fred L. Jenkins Chapel of Prayer with Rev. Fr. Fred Byrne officiating. Burial will follow at Lawnwood Cemetery in Morgantown.
