Julia Mae Phillips

Julia Mae Phillips, 96, of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2024, at Morgantown Health and Rehabilitation Center in Morgantown. She was born December 14, 1927in Fairmont, a daughter of the late Luther and Hattie Wearm.

Julia worked as a factory worker for Reynolds Uniform and later as a cook at Arnold Hall.

She is survived by a son Charles Dawson; grandchildren Michael Dawson and Kristie Dawson; great grandchildren Dylan Dawson and Chloe Dawson; daughter Betty Shaw; granddaughter Angie Shaw; great grandchildren Raven Shaw, Summer Shaw; stepchildren Larry, Jan, Tina, Kimmy Dawn, and Debbie; special friend Andrew McIntyre; and her canine companion Boo Boo; and many other extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, Julia was preceded in death by her first husband Harold Dawson; second husband Edgar Phillips; and her siblings.

Family and friends are invited to gather at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Thursday, February 22, 2024, from 5:30pm until the time of the funeral service at 6:30pm with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. Private entombment will be held at Beverly Hills Chapel of Tranquility Mausoleum.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the funeral home.
