Judith A. Spicer Martelack Jones, 69 of Maidsville, passed away Thursday December 15, 2011 at Ruby Hospital. She was born May 11, 1942 in Maidsville daughter of the late Lonnie and Tessie Floyd Spicer. She was a visiting homemaker and home health aide for 23 years and also worked nine years at WVU Hospital. She is survived by one daughter Dena Sawyer and husband Bob of Maidsville; two granddaughters, Misty Sawyer Miller and companion Craig Glessner of Berlin, PA, Ron Miller the father of great granddaughters Hannah and Raylynn, Kylie Knisell and husband Kevin of Morgantown; great grandchildren Elizabeth, Jackson and Mason Knisell, Hannah and Raylynn Miller and Sierra Glessner; one sister Dorothy Cosner and a very special aunt, Lucy Vandergrift. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her first husband Milton Martelack and beloved husband Curtis Jones two sisters Iva Lou Moyer and Edna Yerkovich; two brothers Delbert Spicer and Jack Spicer. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Sunday Dec. 18 from 3-5 and 7-9pm and again on Monday from 12:30pm until time of services at 1:30 with Rev. Francis Nicholson officiating. Burial will follow at the Rest Haven Memorial Gardens, Fairmont, WV. Flowers will be accepted at the funeral home but donations may be made to the Scotts Run Settlement House PO Box 398, Osage, WV 26543 Special thanks to the nurses and staff at Station 8 North East at Ruby Hospital and the Madison Rehabilitation Nursing Home.
