Juanita E. Cogar

Juanita Elizabeth Cogar, 86 of Maidsville passed away Wednesday March 30, 2011 at the Sundale Nursing Home. She was born May 12, 1924 in Morgantown daughter of the late Edward M. and Ida Conwell Thomas. Juanita retired from the West Virginia State Health Department's Division of Maternal and Infant Care. She was a member of the Fort Martin United Methodist Church. Juanita is survived by her two sons Edward T. Cogar and his wife Brenda of Ft. Martin and Burdett Allen' Cogar also of Ft. Martin. Also surviving are grandchildren, Gretchen Gutta of Morgantown, Heidi Patterson of Kingwood and Erica Batton of Morgantown; three great grandchildren, JD Patterson, Abigail Gutta and Anthony Edward Gutta and one sister Frances Coldren of Uniontown, PA. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Okey M. Cogar; sisters Mildred Morris, Ruby Pell, Dorothy Frum, Clara Cimino, Mary Suraci, infant sister Virginia Thomas; brothers, Edward Thomas and Elmore Thomas. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Thursday March 31, 2011 from 3-5 and 7-9pm and again on Friday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Rev. Alan F. Flaitz officiating. Burial will follow at the Fort Martin Cemetery, Maidsville. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Ft.
