Joyce Marie Trovinger

Joyce Marie Trovinger, 63, of Granville, passed away on Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at her home following a brief illness. She was born October 14, 1954 in Star City, daughter to Julia Grace McCrobie Hall of Morgantown and the late William Edward Hall. She had worked as a dietary aide at the Chestnut Ridge Hospital and cashier at Hardees for more than 20 years. Most recently she was employed by WVU Hospital as a cashier. Joyce was a 1973 graduate of Morgantown High School and later lived in Baltimore for more than a decade. Joyce returned to the Morgantown area in the late-80s to be closer to family and raise her children. Left to cherish her memory, in addition to her mother, is her daughter, Sandra Scott and husband Wayne of Granville; two sons, Douglas Trovinger of Nashville, TN and Nicholas Rhodes of Granville; two sisters, Karen L. Hall of Morgantown and Sandra Flanagan and husband Chris of Washington, DC; beloved granddaughter, Breann Scott. Also surviving are many of her daughter's friends who considered Joyce a surrogate mother; Nicholas" father, Tom Rhodes of Granville; nephew Chris Flanagan; niece Jillian Warf and two great nephews, Elam and Ephraim Flanagan. A celebration of Joyce's life will be held at the Morgantown Salvation Army, 1264 University Ave., Morgantown, WV 26507 on Saturday, January 27, 2018 at 2pm with Majors Chris and Sandra Flanagan officiating.
