Joyce Jean Pratt

Joyce Jean Pratt, of Star City, passed Monday, March 9, 2015. She was born in Morgantown on September 1, 1947, the daughter of the late Roy and Mary Mayhew Jeffers. She leaves behind her husband of 32 years, Foster "Eddie" Pratt, son, Gary (Marcela) Cooley, daughter, Mechelle (Chris) Casino, grandchildren, Adam, Hana, Danielle, and Anthony; sisters, Deborah (Andrew) Hernandez and Mary Beth (Ed) Jester; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Winnifred Cooley and brother, David Jeffers. Joyce was a hairdresser and small business owner in Star City for 30 years. She enjoyed her family, cooking, painting, and shopping - especially for her grandchildren. At her request, cremation has been arranged by Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, a private service will take place at a later date.
