Joyce M. Miller

Joyce M. Miller, 67, of Morgantown, passed away after a long illness on Sunday May 9, 2010 at her home with her daughters by her side. She was born December 26, 1942 in Connellsville, PA, the daughter of Madelyn Becker Lohr and the late Frank Irvin Lohr. She is survived by two daughters Laura Powell and husband Matthew, and Erika Miller and fiancé Curt O’Shell; three sons Charles Miller, William Miller and wife Ettasue, and Steven Miller and wife Tammy all of Morgantown; nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Joyce is also survived by two sisters Wilma Lantz and husband Robert of Jeannette, PA and Judy Molter and husband Ellsworth of Morgantown; and two brothers Irvin Lohr and wife Dolores of Smithfield, PA and John R. Lohr of Morgantown. In addition to her father Joyce was preceded in death by her husband of 17 years William K. Miller and her second husband of 12 years Frederick Muzydla. Joyce was employed by Monongalia County Schools for over 25 years. She worked for Home Start, Head Start, and was a teacher assistant in many area schools. Family and friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Wednesday May 12, 2010 from 6-9pm and again on Thursday from 6-9pm. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home on Friday at 12pm noon. Interment will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery.
