Josephine Patricia Solomon

Josephine Patricia Solomon, 86, of Morgantown, passed away Wednesday June 15, 2016 at Sundale Nursing Home. She was born April 16, 1930 in Grays Landing, PA a daughter of the late John and Mary Rock Fata.

Josephine was known as a hard worker. She and her late husband, Stanley Solomon, owned and operated Solomon’s Market in Osage for many years.

She is survived by her son Frank Solomon of Morgantown; two daughters Karen Bochna and husband Tom of Morgantown and Marina Solomon of Pikesville, MD; one grandson Alexander Winans and wife Emily; and a sister Carmela Ervin and husband Lewis of Morgantown.

In addition to her parents and husband, Josephine was preceded in death by three brothers Anthony Fata, Frank Fata, John Fata; and a sister Rose Marie Hellyer.

Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Sunday June 19, 2016 from 2-8pm and again on Monday from 10am until the time of funeral services at 11am with Rev. Fr. John V. DiBacco officiating. Entombment will follow at Beverly Hills Chapel of Tranquility Mausoleum.
