Joseph 'Joe' Keith Davis

Joseph Keith "Joe" Davis, 62, of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday November 22, 2015 at home. He was born May 3, 1953 in Morgantown a son of Fannie Davis of Morgantown and the late Oscar Dale Davis. Joe was employed by Swanson Plating for 28 years and enjoyed working with his family, pouring concrete for Nicholson Concrete. He was a member of the World of Life Tabernacle where he played an important role as the soundman and recorded the radio broadcast on WAJR for over 30 years. He loved working on the church building and fixing anything that needed repaired. Joe was known throughout the community as someone who would always be there to help anyone that was in need. In addition to his mother he is survived by his beloved wife of 42 years Carol Davis; sons Michael Davis and wife Jennifer, Mark Davis and wife Erica; daughter Tiffany Fisher and husband Landon; his grandchildren who were his pride and joy Skylar Davis, Lane Fisher, Blake Fisher, Warrick Davis, he loved spending time with them; brothers Gerald Davis and wife Sue, Don Davis and wife Ruth, Kenny Davis; and sisters Patty Dalton; Judy Sickles and husband Jim. Joe is also survived by his father-in-law and mother-in-law Elmer 'scoop" and Mildred "Beck" Nicholson; brothers-in-law Dewey Nicholson, Dave Nicholson and wife Pam, Terry Nicholson and companion Holly Sabatino; sister-in-law Tracey Dailey and husband Nathan and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by a brother Eddie Davis; brother-in-law Terry Dalton; and nephew Stephen Dalton. Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Friday November 27, 2015 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm and again on Saturday from 11am until the time of funeral services at 12pm with Pastor Norma Stimmell, Rev. Elmer 'Scoop' Nicholson, and Kathy Dalton officiating. Burial will follow at Nicholson Chapel Cemetery. Funeral 11/28/2015 Visitation 11/27/2015
