Joseph Ervin

Joseph Bud' Ervin, 76 of Granville passed away Friday June 10, 2011 at Monongalia General Hospital. He was born February 23, 1935 in Morgantown a son to the late Joseph and Evis Ervin. Bud worked for the WVDOH as a flag man for 24 years. Bud enjoyed scratch off lottery tickets and loved to listen to gospel music. He had a love for animals and fishing. He was also a collector of piggy banks. Bud is survived by his wife Mary Ervin; sons, David Ervin of Morgantown and Darren Ervin and fiancé Cosy Francisco of Fairmont; step-sons Josh Swisher of Morgantown, Bobby Tasker and companion Kelly Landers, Anthony Scott and wife Diane; step daughter Sherry Scott; brothers Lewis Ervin and wife Carmella of Morgantown, Donald Ervin; sisters Jean Johnson of Baltimore, MD; grandchildren, Nina Tasker, Shayna Ervin, Jennifer Ervin, Kyler Ervin, Baleigh Ervin, Maurriska Francisco; step grandchildren Danica Scott and John Brown; nieces Diane Johnson and Linda Johnson; and nephews Charlie Johnson and Norman Johnson. In addition to his parents, Bud was preceded in death by his first wife Margaret Ervin and one granddaughter Clarissa Ervin. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Monday June 13, 2011 from 2-4 and 6-8pm and again on Tuesday from noon until time of services at 1pm with Rev. Ray Frankhouser officiating. Burial will follow at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.
