Jon Robert Goodwin

Jon Robert Goodwin, 50 of Morgantown passed away Wednesday, December 18, 2013 peacefully in his home after a short but courageous battle with cancer. Jon was born February 6, 1963 in Morgantown, the son of the late Elizabeth and Ervin Goodwin. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, working on projects around his home, and spending time with his family. He worked his whole life with construction and excavation proudly providing for his family. He is survived by his wife Diana Goodwin, his children Travis Goodwin and Stacy Hovatter, his grandsons Michael Hovatter and Zachary Hughes all of Morgantown, a sister Joann Wheeler and husband Gary of Nebraska, Brothers Howard Goodwin and wife Julie , Gary Goodwin and Keith Goodwin all of Morgantown. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews as well as a lifetime childhood friend Arlie Chipps Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Friday, December 20, 2013 from 3-5 and 7-9pm and on Saturday from 10am until the time of services at 11am with Rev. Kevin Cain officiating.
