Johnny's legacy continues through his adoring grandchildren, Kimberly S. (Deon) McMillen & David (Jennifer) Barnett, & his great-grandchildren, Deon II (Ashley), & Dustin McMillen, Casey, Keirsten, Colby, & Kara Barnett. A man known for his strong work ethic, Johnny dedicated 45 years to Sterling Faucet, where he was not only a valued employee but also a champion bowler. He and his team often seized the first-place title, a testament to their skill and camaraderie. Beyond the lanes, Johnny served his community with pride and commitment. As the Assistant Chief of Brookhaven VFD, the Captain of Morgantown Police Reserves, and an involved member of Morgantown Civil Defense, he proved himself a man of action and integrity. He was also always there on the sidelines, supporting his son's little league baseball team with that same steadfast spirit.
Johnny was beloved for being incredibly handy, with a knack for fixing anything that needed repair. His terrific sense of humor and friendly demeanor endeared him to everyone. Those fortunate to have known Johnny will remember him not just for the roles he held or the tasks he accomplished but for the warmth and laughter he brought into their lives.
