John Andrew Thomas, Sr.

John Andrew Thomas, Sr., 68, of Morgantown, passed away on Sunday January 1, 2017 at his home. He was born January 26, 1948 in Morgantown a son of the late Virgil and Betty Jo Thomas.

John was a retired concrete finisher and was a member of the Cement and Plasterers Union Local 926. He loved his job and enjoyed spending time with his family.

He is survived by a son John Thomas, Jr. and wife Francie Jo of Fairmont; daughter Amber Heston and husband Darren of St. Petersburg, FL; brothers Danny Thomas and wife Karen, Frankie Thomas and wife Ramona; sisters Vickie Keir and husband William, Vivian Wolfe and husband Wesley all of Morgantown; grandchildren A.J., Brandon, and Tessa; and his former wife Joann Duncan of Ocala, FL.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a grandson Cody.

Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Wednesday January 4, 2017 from 2-4pm & 6-8pm and again on Thursday from 12pm until the time of funeral services at 1pm with Pastor John Jackson officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home 10 S. High St. Morgantown, WV 26501 to help with expenses.
