John D Swecker

John D. Swecker, 73, of Grafton Rd. passed away April 17, 2020 at Ruby Memorial Hospital due to heart failure. He was born in Clarksburg, WV on March 12, 1947 to the late William D. and Ruth Funk Swecker. He graduated from Philip Barbour High School Class of 1965. He was retired from WV Paging. He enjoyed antique farm equipment restoration, woodworking, motorcycling, and cars. He was also an accomplished private pilot and certified instrument flight instructor. He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Carol Winans Swecker; one daughter, Angela and husband Jeff Britton; and two granddaughters, Ayla and Gillian Britton of Accident, Maryland. Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home is assisting the family with private services. John will be laid to rest at Mary's Chapel Cemetery.
