John Phil' Reiner, 74, of Morgantown, passed away Tuesday January 10, 2012, at his home. He was born April 27, 1937 in Edcouch, TX a son to the late Earl and Billie Reiner. Phil served his country as a member of U.S. Navy during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He was electrician for the Monongalia County Board of Education for 31 years. In his spare time, Phil, enjoyed working with leather, making canes, going on nature walks and just being in the outdoors. He also enjoyed archery, musket shooting and spending time with his family. He was a loving husband and devoted father. He is survived by his beloved wife Barbara Reiner; two brothers Don Reiner and wife Rose, Jim Reiner and wife Donna all of Morgantown; two sisters Jan Walls and husband Richard of Morgantown, Bonnie Heybruck of Poughkeepsie, NY; and three sons Mark Reiner, David Reiner, Kevin Reiner all of Steubenville, OH . He also raised four children Frank Thomas, Jr., Sherry Collins, Deanna Burnette, and Becky Boggs; and three step-children Leslie Flowers, Jr., Loel Flowers both of Morgantown and Dawn Moore of Mannington. Phil is also survived by 20 grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Hospice Care Corp., Harland and Diane Murphy, Jesse Moore, Steve Reiner, Loel Flowers, and Jan and Richard Walls for all of their care and support. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Wednesday January 11, 2012 from 6pm-9pm and again on Thursday from noon until time of funeral services at 1pm with Pastor Willard Rowan officiating. Burial will follow at Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens with military rites conducted by Westover VFW Post 9916.
