John R. Kegley, Jr., 81 of Harley Drive, Morgantown passed away Friday August 12, 2011 at his home. He was born August 13, 1929 in Charleston, WV son of the late John R. Kegley, Sr., and Esther Maxine Day Baine. John was a member of the Plumber and Pipefitters Union Local 625 of Charleston, WV. He was also a member of the Church of Christ in Fairmont and St. Albans, WV. John is survived by his wife Atlanta Jean Kegley of Morgantown; children John F. Kegley of Lakeworth, FL, Joetta D. Martin of Bloomingrose, WV, Diana S. Kegley McGilton of Morgantown, Cathy A. Lowther of Morgantown, Martha J. Self of Morgantown Terry A. Kegley of Morgantown, Pamela D. Wills of GA, Sandra K. McGilton of Morgantown, Thomas D. Whitehead of Dayton, OH and James E. Whitehead of Morgantown, WV. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren; 28 great grandchildren; one great great grandson; three brothers Kenneth Kegley of Cincinnati, OH, Robert Kegley of Dunbar, WV and Gene Baine of Charleston, WV; sister Debbie Santoro of Charleston, WV and seven nieces and six nephews. In addition to his parents John was preceded in death by one daughter Theresa R. Whitehead; sisters, Lois Grishaber, Sally Worley and Suzanne Kegley and one brother Charles Kegley. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Sunday Aug. 14 from 5-7pm; Monday from 2-4 and 7-9pm and again on Tuesday from 10am until time of services at 11am with Richard Bunner of the Church of Christ officiating. Burial will follow at the Pleasant Hills Cemetery.
