John Jerome Hartl, Jr.

John Jerome Hartl, Jr., 68 of Morgantown passed away Wednesday August 31, 2011 at his residence. He was born April 21, 1943 in Morgantown a son to the late John and Susie Wallo Hartl. John served his country as a member of the U.S. Army. He worked for 38 years at Parotta Paving. He enjoyed working for Randy Parotta and all of his other friends/co-workers at Parotta Paving. He also enjoyed singing and playing guitar. He also enjoyed painting. He is survived by his beloved wife Sandra Hartl of Morgantown; step-daughters Mary Casseday of Morgantown, and Debra Casseday of Fairmont; grandchildren Autumn Morris, Megan Wiles, Gracie Wiles, and Christopher Stone and wife Brittanie; and great grandchildren Trenton and Aubrey. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Friday September 2, 2011 from 4-7pm and again on Saturday from 9am until time of services at 10am with Rev. Father John V. DiBacco officiating. Burial will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery with military rites conducted by Westover VFW Post 9916 and WVANG Honor Guard of Camp Dawson. The family would like to thank Amedysis Hospice and all of the girls that work there for their care in helping with John.
