John Peter Foster Iii

John Peter Foster III, 65, of Morgantown passed away on Monday September 5, 2016 at his home. He was born August 8, 1951 in Grafton, a son of Barbara Casteel Foster of Morgantown and the late John Peter Foster II.

John was a 1969 graduate of Morgantown High School. He honorably served his country as a member of U.S. Army. John worked as a coal miner for many years. John was an avid hunter, pool player, and gardener.

In addition to his mother he is survived by his beloved wife Kathie Foster; sons John ‘Jay’ P. Foster IV, Joshua ‘Josh’ R. Foster; sister Sharon Woodall all of Morgantown; brother Steven Foster of AK; two step-sons Paul R. Salisbury Jr. of VA, Alan M. Salisbury of Fairmont; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

Honoring John’s wishes cremation services are being arranged by Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home.

Private graveside military services will be held at Mt. Calvary Cemetery at a later date.
