Jody "Grump" Everly

Jody "Grump" Everly, 73, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, December 5, 2019. The son of the late Phil and Jean Everly, he was born on February 21, 1946, in Morgantown, WV. Jody was a retired coal miner; with 30 years of service at Blacksville #2. He was an avid racing fan and never met a stranger. He is survived by his wife, of 47 years, Sherry Solomon Everly; a daughter and her husband, Kara and Rodney Jaggie; and a granddaughter, Paige Jaggie. Also surviving, a cousin who was like a brother, Bill Herrington; and an aunt, Ruth Hockaday. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by and infant brother, Michael Everly; and his father and mother in law, Jimmie and Elsie Solomon.
