Janet Ruth Prout Gallagher White

Janet Ruth Prout Gallagher White, 78, died peacefully at home on Tuesday, October 6, 2015 surrounded by her family. Janet was the loving matriarch of a beautiful family. She enjoyed every minute of the time she was blessed to spend with them and found joy in caring for them. She has touched more lives than can be mentioned including the many children she cared for in her home over many years. Janet is survived by her four daughters: Beverly Alvarez and husband Victor, Joyce Deusenberry and husband Donnie, Carol Gallagher and companion Kenny Warner, and Tracie Butcher and husband Rodney; her nine grandchildren Bret Deusenberry and wife Joanna, Amanda Powell and husband Corey, Kayla Roush and fiancé Steve Williams, Christopher Alvarez, Holly Alvarez, Joey Travinski and fiancée Kaitlin Buchanan, Timothy Roush and girlfriend Brittany Swiger, Arieka Roush, Amanda Tennant, her fiancée Erika Zimmerman and her mother Vicki Tennant; and her four great-grandchildren: Hunter and Hudson Deusenberry, Ava Powell, and Mason Roush. Janet is welcomed to Heaven by her loving husband, Orson White; beloved parents Oliver and Gladys Prout; her two brothers Buster Williams and Arthur Prout; and her first husband, Richard Gallagher. A graveside service will be held at Cedar Gove Cemetery, Mt.Morris, PA, Friday, October 9, 2015, at 2:30 p.m. with Pastor Dan Meadows officiating. A celebration of life with family and friends will follow at the Brookhaven Community Building, in Morgantown, from 3-7 p.m. In lieu of flowers, Janet has requested that donations be made to the American Lung Association, 113 Elm Crest Drive, Wheeling, WV 26003.
