Janet Lou Deal

Janet Lou Nuce Deal, 71 of the Summers School Road passed away surrounded by her family, Tuesday August 30, 2011 at the home of her sister Carol, whom she made her home with for the past 30 years. She was born April 19, 1940 in Morgantown daughter to the late Frank Lee and Hazel Bowers Nuce. Janet retired from Davis Lynch Glass as a grinder with more than 32 years of service. Janet grew up in Star City and graduated from UHS. She had many hobbies but especially loved her rub off lottery tickets. She also had a passion for flowers, gardening and watching the hummingbirds from her window. Her close canine companions, Spike and Goldie gave her great comfort and unconditional love for many years. Janet is survived by her sisters, Mary Carol Kinsley of Summers School Road, Donna Nuce Percival of Star City; brothers Neil Nuce and wife Sharon of Morgantown. She was a beloved Nanny to her adopted children, John and Joy Deavers and Allen Kinsley, Jr.; her adopted grandchildren, Johnny and Christina; Janet Deavers and fiancé Jimmy Haddix, Jessica Steele and husband Andy and Joey Deavers, Shania and Shayanne Kinsley and Shawntae Deavers; adopted great grandchildren, Shane, Austin, Jeremaih, James, Carrie, Kylie and Mackenzie and many other nieces and nephews. She will be sadly missed by all who called her Nanny.' In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband Russell Deal; brother Franklin Butch' Nuce and brothers-in-law Fred Kinsley and William Leroy Smith. Friends may call the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Friday September 2, 2011 from 3-9pm and again on Saturday from noon until time of services at 1pm with Rev. Loretta Lee officiating. Burial will follow at the Nicholson Chapel Cemetery. The family would like to thank Morgantown Hospice for their exceptional care and concern.
