James Randolph Springer, Jr., (J.R.) 49 years old of Morgantown passed away on July 7, 2024. He was born in Morgantown on September 10, 1974, to Jim and Debby Springer of Morgantown.
J.R. proudly served in the Navy, and worked alongside his father as a machinist at Springer’s Couplings and Splines. J.R. was an avid outdoorsman and car buff, he loved riding his Harley, shooting pool, and playing the drums in many local bands.
He will be remembered for his quick wit and humorous embellishments of stories about his experiences. J.R. accepted the Lord as his Savior before passing away.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Pete and Connie Springer and Bob and Blanch Leonard.
J.R. is survived by his parents and sister Tiffney Batton (Morgan), and nephew and niece Preston and Endsley Batton, his Aunt Barb Slaughter and Uncle Joe Leonard and many cousins and friends.
A private graveside ceremony will be held at the West Virginia National Cemetery in Grafton.
