James Sowers

James Ronald Sowers, 74, of Morgantown entered into rest April 12, 2015. He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Bernice Rice-Sowers, sister Helen Hewett, and two brothers, Gary Dressel and Donald Sowers and several nieces and nephews. James was a carpenter by trade and enjoyed being a faithful member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Westover, WV and true Christian. He was an avid Mountaineers fan and season ticket holder and moved here from Manassas, VA in order to attend the games. "JimBob" as he was known by his wife, enjoyed to golf and fish. James had an unparalleled work ethic and had a quest for knowledge. He is preceded in death by his parents. Family and friends will be received from 5pm until the time of service at 6pm at the Emmanuel Baptist Church, 367 Dents Run Rd, Westover, WV. Interment will be held noon, Saturday, April 17, 2015 at the Wallace Memorial Cemetery, Clintonville, WV.
