James Paul Livengood, 83, of Harmony Grove, West Virginia passed away at home on October 10, 2017, surrounded by his family and friends. He was a retired member of the Carpenter’s Union of Morgantown Local #1145, and a beloved husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend.
Paul married Josephine “JoJo” Nevera on September 19, 1958. Paul and Jojo shared 59 years of marriage together. Jojo was the love of his life until God called him home to paradise. He loved his family and work. He enjoyed fishing and building things. He built three homes for his family including the one he resided in, and he helped family and friends with their building needs, children’s furniture, and wood working. Most of all he loved his grandchildren, and he always made the time to take them to their appointments and events.
His kindness and sense of humor brightened our lives. He always made time for his family, his children’s events and games, and he always made guests to his home feel welcome.
He leaves behind his loving and caring wife of 59 years, JoJo; two sons, Lee James Livengood and wife Libby of Morgantown, Joseph Paul Livengood and wife Missy of Gadsden, AL; daughter and son-in-law Susan Rennae Kirkendall and Gary Daniel Morgantown; four grand-children, Haley Nicole Livengood, Elaina Rennae Kirkendall, Jackson Paul Livengood, and Ethan Joseph Livengood; two sisters, Jean Todesko of Morgantown and Jeanine Rancjik of Morgantown; and many nephews and nieces.
Paul was preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Erma Livengood, two brothers, two sisters, and grandson Zachary James Livengood.
