James 'Jim' 'Jimbo' Marks

James "Jim" "Jimbo" Marks, 59, of Granville, passed away on Friday April 8, 2016 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born August 18, 1956 in Morgantown and raised on Bertha Hill, a son of Georgia "Tiny" Lynch Marks of Granville and the late Robert Valgene Marks. Jim loved drawing pictures for people and enjoyed collecting pop can tabs. He also enjoyed visitors. Anytime someone would come to see him he would say, "I knew it would be you". In addition to his mother he is survived by his brothers Wade Marks, Sr., Robert "Charlie" Marks; sisters Monnie Ramsey, Dorothy "Junebug" Trickett, Kathy Tichnell, and Gayle Molisee. Jim is also survived by many nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews; and a very special friend Randy Stewart. In addition to his father he was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents Clay and Ella Marks; maternal grandparents Luther and Gertrude Lynch; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins. The family would like to extend their sincere gratitude to the staff of Amedysis Hospice for all of their care and support. Friends will be received at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Monday April 11, 2016 from 4-8pm and again on Tuesday from 10am until the time of funeral services at 11am with Pastor Gwen McKinley officiating.
