James Edward Foy

James E. Foy, 79, Sr, of South Hills community, Morgantown, died Monday, May 3, 2010, at Monongalia General Hospital. He was born October 25, 1930, a son of the late Harry E. Foy and Mary M. Yoney Foy. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Lawrence E. Foy and George F. Foy, and a grandson, Elliot Foy. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary L. (Cunningham) Foy, a son, James E. Foy, Jr., his daughters, Joan Shultz Courtney, and Linda Morris and husband, Marvin; and grandchildren, Zachary Taylor Foy, Garrett Foy and Jennifer Shultz and son-in-law, L.T. (Butch) Shultz, all of Morgantown; and Julie Morse Gallagher, of Oregon, and Jason Morse of Florida; and 2 great grand-children. He is also survived by his sister, Mabel Swisher and husband , Ed, of Portage, Indiana, a sister-in-law, Joan C. Foy, of Morgantown and Dorothy Davis Foy, of Florida, and several nieces and nephews. Jim retired from Consol Humphrey #7 mine, and was member of UMWA local #1058. Visitation will be at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home Tuesday from 2-4 and 6-8 pm and from 10 am until time of services at 11 am at the funeral home with the Rev. Dan Meadows officiating. Interment will follow at the Pisgah Cemetery, Rt. 73, Smithtown Rd.
