James 'Flywheel' Croucher

March 24, 1955 — May 2, 2016

"Flywheel" James Edward Croucher, 61, of Morgantown, passed away unexpectedly May 2nd, 2016, at home. He was born March 24, 1955, in Morgantown, the son of the late Albert and Luvada Croucher. He was a beloved brother, uncle, and friend. He was a proud veteran having served in the US Army. He enjoyed attending rodeos, fishing, hunting, gardening, but especially loved talking with people & making them laugh. One of his favorite things to do was save dimes to give to his sister, Alberta, for Vacation Bible School - one example of his heart of gold. He is survived by four brothers, Elmer McIe of Morgantown, Paul Croucher of Shinnston, Albert Croucher of Charlottesville, VA, and Ray Croucher of Charleston, WV; sister Alberta Nestor of Morgantown; his 'sister" Ellen Hovatter, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is also survived by his dear friends, Bill Thompson and Mary Newbraugh, along with his faithful sidekicks, Jasper and Mystery. Although he had no biological children, he was a father-figure to numerous local children & supported them any way possible, especially MacKenzie & Sydni Thompson. He was preceded in death by a brother, Ernest McIe, and two sisters, Beulah Parcel and Miriam "Mary" Lipscomb, along with six brothers and sisters in infancy. Family and friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, Thursday, May 5th from 2-4pm and 6-8pm. Visitation will continue Friday, May 6th at the TLC Lighthouse Cathedral, Kingwood Pike from 10am until the time of service at 11am with Pastor Jon Henry officiating. Honoring Flywheel's wishes, cremation services will follow. Funeral 05/06/2016 Visitation 05/05/2016
