James William Connally, Sr.

James William Connally, Sr., 67, passed away on January 28, 2025, in Morgantown, WV. A skilled and self-employed carpenter, James was known for his craftsmanship, always exceeding expectations with his work.

In his free time, he found joy on the golf course, had a deep love for country music, and never missed an opportunity to participate in karaoke. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting and fishing. He also cherished the camaraderie at the American Legion Post 174, where he was a familiar and welcoming presence.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Bill and Lois Connally. He is survived by his companion, Peggy Brooks; his children, Jamie Connally, William Platt, Richard Connally, and Jonetta Connally; and his sisters, Kathy Bradshaw and Billie Connally.

Honoring his wishes, cremation services will be provided by Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home. A memorial service will be held at a later date.
