James Lloyd Austin

James Lloyd Austin, 66, of Summers School Road, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday March 7, 2013 with wife Joyce and his daughter Samantha at his bedside. Jim was born in Morgantown on September 12, 1946, the son of Dorothy Austin of Morgantown and the late Lloyd Edwin Austin. Jim served in the US Navy and retired from Savage Industries as a truck driver. He loved to go fishing and watch NASCAR racing. He was a devoted dad and loved spending time with his daughter Samantha Doodles'. In addition to his mother Jim is survived by his wife of 20 years Joyce Austin; daughter Samantha Austin and fiancé Robbie Robinson, who he loved and cherished; daughters Susan Summers and husband Wesley, Debra and Junior Sanders and Candy Austin and son Elvis all of Morgantown; grandchildren, Casey, Ryan, Morgan, Jordan, Matthew, Blake, David, Gracie and Clayton. Also surviving are three sisters, Dottie, Karen and Sue and one brother Ed Austin. In addition to his father, Jim was preceded in death by two sons Anthony Murray and Matthew Murray. The family would like to thank special friends Carolyn Dalton and Rev. Kenny Reed for spending time with Jim and the family. Friends may call at the Nicholson Chapel Church on Saturday March 9, 2013 from 1pm until time of funeral services at 1pm Sunday March 10 with Rev. Kenny Reed officiating. Burial will follow at the Nicholson Chapel Cemetery with military rites conducted by Westover VFW Post 9916 and Camp Dawson WVANG.
