Jacqueline Lucas

Jacqueline ‘Jackie’ Lucas, 63, of Morgantown, passed away Thursday, April 28, 2022 at J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born August 15, 1958 in Madison, WV a daughter of the late Willie E. Montgomery and Mildred G. Danko. Jackie worked for many years as a cook at Chestnut Ridge and J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospitals. She was known as a very nurturing person. She cherished spoiling and taking care of her grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She is survived by her beloved husband William Dean Lucas; children David Justus and wife Susie, Jimmy Justus and companion Tonya; grandchildren Brittany, Cyndie, Carlie; four great grandchildren; sisters Alice Dale Dodson, Cheryl Lynn Montgomery, Patricia Gillum and husband Mark, Michelle Danko, Monica Zinn; her two fur babies Peanut and Snuggles; and many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law John L. Dodson, and a niece Lori Dodson. The family will receive friends at The River Church, 4234 Dents Run Blvd. Westover, WV 26501 on Monday, May 2, 2022 from 11am until the funeral service at 1pm with Pastor Nathaniel Hudson and Assistant Pastor Chad Rowan officiating. Following the service, the family’s wishes for cremation will be honored.
