Jacquelene Rose ‘Jackie’ Richards, passed away peacefully at the J.W. Ruby Memorial Hospital on Saturday, April 23, 2022, following a brief illness. She was born July 30, 1943, in Valley Point, WV a daughter to Elmer & Bernice Groves Devall. Jacquelene met her husband John Richards & they spent over 50 years together & are now reunited in heaven. Jackie was a homemaker for many years & enjoyed spending time with her family. She had a green thumb & loved her garden. She grew beautiful sunflowers & roses. Jackie loved cooking for her family & never missed her grandchildren’s sporting events. She is survived by her two sons, John Richards, Jr., & wife Roxanne of Morgantown & Steve Richards of Morgantown; grandchildren, Kristen (Curt) Gerard, Kari (Joe) Zeigler; great-granddaughters, Jaynie Rose & Lilly Anna Gerard & Zoee Anne & Joey Michael Zeigler, all of Morgantown. Jackie is also survived by her sisters, Barbara Richards of Valley Point & Pamela & Richard Sherren of, Pataskala, OH; brothers-in-law, Frank Richards, Buck (Janet) Richards all of Valley Point, Paul (Loretta) Richards of the Kingwood Pike; sisters-in-law, Candy Richards of Bruceton Mills, Pamela Richard of Bellville, MI, & numerous nieces & nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband John ‘Jack’ B. Richards, Sr.; one grandson John Michael ‘Dirty’ Richards; brothers, Robert, Roger, & Everett Devall; brothers-in-law, William ‘Bill’; Dave, & Leroy Richards; & sisters-in-law Patty Richards & JoAnn & husband Homer Adams; mother & father-in-law Margaret & Russell Richards. Family & friends will be welcomed at Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home, on Wednesday, April 27, 2022, from 5 to 8 PM. Visitation will continue on Thursday at the Mt. Moriah United Methodist Church, Valley Point from noon until the time of services at 1 PM with Pastor Tim Edin officiating. She will be laid to rest beside her beloved husband at the Mt. Moriah Cemetery.
