Jack Korzun, Jr., 86, of Morgantown, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021 at his home. He was born February 24, 1935 in Morgantown, a son of the late Jack and Vina Mullins Korzun. Jack was a retired coal miner with Peabody Coal Company. In his spare time, Jack enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, fishing, and boating. You could also find him tending to his vegetable garden or riding his side by side, which was his pride and joy. He also loved lemon pies and his frequent trips to Amish Country in Maryland. He is survived by his wife Shirley Kibert Korzun; sons Wayne Korzun and wife Kelly, Doug Korzun and wife Pam, Tim Korzun and wife Liz; daughters Belinda Cornett and husband Barney, Doreen Neely and husband Carl; step-daughters Kathy Savage and husband Rick, Jackie Parrotta and husband Randy; grandchildren Neil, Kevin, Courtney, Corey, Jonathan, Colbie, Ciara; step-grandchildren Dominick, McKenzie, Garrett, and Justin; 11 great-grandchildren; and one great great grandchild. Jack is also survived by a brother Tom Korzun and two sisters Stella Richards and Emily Tamulinas. In addition to his parents, Jack was preceded in death by his first wife Sara Huggins Korzun; grandchildren C.J. Neely, T.J. Korzun, Matthew Korzun; brother Ralph ‘Beanie’ Korzun; and two sisters Mary Golden and Margie Cumpston. Honoring Jack’s wishes, cremation is being arranged by Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home with entombment to take place at Beverly Hills Chapel of Tranquility Mausoleum at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations in Jack’s memory be made to the charity of your choice.
