Irene Wujcik

Madge Irene Wujcik, 80 of Morgantown passed away Saturday June 30, 2012 at the Ruby Memorial Hospital. She was born January 11, 1932 in Catawba, WV daughter to the late Ray and Ruby Newman Shroyer. Miss Irene worked many years in downtown Morgantown. First at the Darinka's Dress Shop and later the Yard Stick fabric store. Lastly, Irene worked as a teller at the One Valley Bank and retired in 1995. Irene enjoyed her life. She especially loved sewing, cooking, baking and gardening. She cherished time spent with family. Irene will be remembered as a loving sister, wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She is survived by her, son Michael Wujcik and spouse Bertha; daughter Pamela Merriman all of Morgantown; grandchildren, Misti, Megan, Nicole, Erica and Andy and eight great grandchildren. Also surviving are sisters Vernadeen McCartney, Betty Trickett and husband Ervin, Margie Morris, Jean Campbell and Mary Phillips and husband Owen; one brother Bernard Shroyer and wife Linda. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband John Wujcik, Jr. and infant brother Marshall Shroyer. Friends may call at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday July 3, 2012 from 6-8pm and again on Wednesday July 4, from 10am until time of services at 11am with Irene's nephew Mr. Doug Trickett officiating. Graveside services will take place 10am Thursday July 5 at the Beverly Hills Memorial Gardens
