Howard Charles Summers

Howard Charles Pood' Summers, 81 of Summers School Road, Morgantown passed away Wednesday June 30, 2010 at the Monongalia General Hospital. He was born June 20, 1929 in Morgantown son of the late Fred Summers and Eunice Hart. Howard was employed with the Local Union #379 for more than 20 years. Prior to joining the Union he worked at Timberwoods Sawmill, and was a blaster at Sandbank. He was a member of the Cools Springs, VFD, and Mt. View Pentecostal Church. He rarely missed a day at the Senior Mons and loved attending horse pulls, and late model dirt track car racing. He is survived by his children and spouses, Mary and Lee Cress of Bull Run Rd, Masontown, Deborah Summers, David and Noreen Summers, Donald and Heidi Summers and Kenny and Lisa Summers all of Morgantown. Also surviving are grandchildren; Bradley and Tina Cress, Nicholas and Amanda Cress, Bernie and Michelle Murray, Anita Murray, David "JR" Murray and fiancé Elizabeth Riggleman, Bethany Summers, Kristen Summers, Donald "DJ" Summers and Hunter Summers; great grandchildren, Joshua and Drake Cress, Cody Edgell, Justin, Tyler and Christina Murray and Chloe Bolyard; sister Lucille and Leo Snider; sister-in-law Lois Hart and brother-in-law Ernest Frymyer all of Morgantown. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife Beulah Murray Summers, brother Othie Hart, sister Mildred Frymyer and one grandson David Howard Summers, Jr. Friends may call at the Mt. View Pentecostal Church, Mountainview Road from 3pm Thursday July 1, 2010 until time of services at 1pm Saturday July 3, 2010 with Rev. Francis Nicholson and Brother Jason Blosser officiating. Burial will follow at the Nicholson Chapel Cemetery. Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
