Helen Leona White

Helen Leona White, 92, of Morgantown, passed away Sunday, August 7, 2022 at her home.  She was born February 20, 1930 in Morgantown, a daughter of the late Russell and Josephine Wilson Burns.

Helen worked as a retail clerk for G.C. Murphy’s Department Store, until her retirement.  In her spare time, she enjoyed tending to her vegetable and flower gardens.  She was known as a wonderful caretaker, and never hesitated to take care of her children and grandchildren.  Helen was also a great cook, and cherished hosting Sunday dinners every week.  When she wasn’t at home, you could find her shopping or at local restaurants, especially Longhorn, with her daughter-in-law Robin.

She is survived by her daughter Barbara Wolfe and husband Roger; son Dale White and wife Robin; daughter-in-law Lynn White all of Morgantown; grandchildren Russell White and wife Gina of Indiana, Ryan Wolfe and companion Tia, Brandon Wolfe and wife Angie, Amanda White all of Morgantown; great grandchildren Seanna, Josie, Parker, Paris, Madison, Felicity, and Hallie.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband Robert White, and a son Wayne White.

Honoring Helen’s wishes, all services are private and she will be laid to rest at Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
