Helen Margaret Knouse

Helen Margaret Knouse, 90, of Granville passed away Thursday September 1, 2011 at Betty Weber's Personal Care Home. She was born August 27, 1921 in Morgantown, one of 13 children of the late Frank and Julia Gudish Solomon. Helen enjoyed cooking and gardening. She and her husband, the late Martin Knouse, Sr., were dedicated caregivers, who took care of their parents, children, and other family members. She is survived by two sons Martin Knouse, Jr.,and daughter-in-law Marilyn Knouse, and Robert Knouse and wife Sharon; six grandchildren Loren Kokot, Monte Knouse, Micah Knouse, Denise Knouse-Snyder, Kimberly Kelchner, and Martin Knouse III, eight great grandchildren, two brothers Jim Solomon and wife Elsie and Eddie Solomon and wife JoAnn; and one sister Virginia Smerdell. In addition to her parents and husband, Helen was also preceded in death by a son Frank Knouse and several brothers and sisters. Friends will be received at the Fred L. Jenkins Funeral Home on Tuesday September 6, 2011 from 10am to 12pm noon. Graveside service will follow at East Oak Grove Cemetery with Rev. Craig Falkenstine officiating.
